Greenberg’s McCain shot has a silver lining

The Atlantic Magazine’s choice of a photographer has left them in a real fix after screw-loose photog Jill Greenberg managed to hijack the Atlantic’s photo shoot with John McCain. Greenberg took shots of McCain under a false pretense while manipulating the lighting to present a sinister aspect. She went further than that once she got back to her shop and went full fauxtographer on them. I’ll direct you to Michelle Malkin’s site where there’s a good post on the situation.

Greenburg is a frothing liberal, anti-McCain activist who bragged about her unprofessional behavior. The Atlantic’s editors are considering a lawsuit against her at the moment. However, Greenberg’s “gotcha” moment – where she lit McCain from below to create a more scary shot – had a different effect on me when I saw it. Here’s the shot, and I’ve taglined it below:

“Now, about those Russian troops you’re about to order out of Georgia, Mr. Putin…”

This is the look of a man who’s giving you just one more chance to do the right thing before he opens up on you – and he’s sure you’re not going to like it when he does. I ask you: do you honestly think Obama could ever pull this look off, seriously?
