Loudoun Prowler still causing concern

The prowler in Loudoun County that I mentioned back in August has not been apprehended. Now, there appears to have been a new sighting that, fortunately, didn’t include an actual attack.

Early Sept. 3, a Sterling woman saw someone she did not know outside her window, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kraig Troxell.

The woman, who lives in the 700 block of Dickinson Avenue, awoke at about 3:45 a.m. and saw the person outside her window. At that point, the person ran toward Dickinson Avenue, Troxell said.

Another incident turned out to be a false alarm sounded when an apartment resident saw a young man climbing up to a balcony in their building. That time it was a case of a young Romeo visiting his girlfriend on the sly but the LCSO didn’t mind the call. When in doubt, phone it in. And remain vigilant, folks.
