Early Christian shrine possibly located in Jordan

A catacomb showing evidence of early Christian worship appears to have been discovered in the Jordanian city of Rihab.

The catacomb lies under St. Georgeous church, built in 230 A.D, making it one of the oldest churches, along with one unearthed in the Jordanian southern port of Aqaba in 1998 and another in Megiddo, Israel discovered in 2005.

Way cool.

Frank Wolf for Congress!

As we Virginians prepare to head to the polls tomorrow for the June 10th primaries, we are faced with a challenge in the 10th Congressional District’s race. Our incumbent Congressman, Frank Wolf, is running against relative unknown Vern McKinley. As my father used to say, let’s get down to brass tacks: I firmly support Frank Wolf for Congress.

Frank’s dedication in representing the interests of Virginia’s 10th District has been resolute and steady for the many years that he’s been in Washington on our behalf. His tireless efforts to resolve the transportation issues facing Northern Virginia have been recognized repeatedly.

Frank Wolf’s support of the SAVE Act (H.R. 4088) to secure America’s borders and require verification of employment eligibility is precisely the kind of federal action being called for across the country. His leadership in this regard would provide us all with the kind of immigrations oversight various local governments have declined to provide.

Congressman Wolf has been at the forefront of a call for discussion of reforming our outdated and convoluted tax structure. His call for a panel discussion where everything – and I mean everything – is on the table is crucial. Coming at this problem without preconceptions or assumptions that this-or-that specific item in the tax code must be included is the only way we’re going to get some real reform and make sure that what we’re left with makes sense.

In short, Congressman Frank Wolf has demonstrated both leadership and responsiveness to our interests for many years. That’s exactly the kind of representation Virginia’s 10th District needs. His experience in office is a benefit we’d be foolish to squander. I strongly support, and urge your support, for Frank Wolf for GOP Senate candidate in tomorrow’s primaries.

Go, Frank!
