DC DMV employee arrested for selling licenses to illegals and unqualifieds

Well, there’s been another area DMV employee arrested for selling driver’s licenses to folks who shouldn’t have them. This time it was in DC. Some of those who bought the licenses were folks who didn’t qualify for them (meaning they failed the test or they already had a suspended license elsewhere) and some were sold to illegals, permitting them to acquire even more illicit documentation. Nice going.

At some point in time, I hope, our various local governments are going to implement procedures that don’t permit this sort of thing to happen. One wonders whether DC will learn their lesson from this one.
