HoodaThunk?

Mental wanderings of a common man.

Fred Thompson hits it out of the park in SC

From Fox News to the New York Times, from Romney supporter Hugh Hewitt to such blogospheric titans as Captain’s Quarters, Michelle Malkin, and Power Line the word from last night’s GOP debates in South Carolina boils down to this:

Fred kicked butt!

The Luntz focus group on Fox came in decisively for a Fred victory in the debate.

I know what the media have been telling you about Fred. I know what all the “talking heads” have been saying. But here’s the reality: If you support strong national defense, if you think our immigrations policy should focus more on enforcing the law and strengthening the border security than on giving illegals social security benefits, if you think that the Founders’ vision of limited federal government is better than the direction we’re headed, if you think the tax laws are a mess and something reasonable needs to be done about it, and if you think that the issues before us demand something other than a “more-of-the-same” approach, you owe it to yourself to get to know Fred better. There’s a couple of links up there in the top right of this blog that will take you to Fred’s site and you can read all about his positions right there. Don’t let someone’s 10-second sound-byte tell you what to believe, go find out for yourself. It’s time well spent.

While you’re there, consider becoming a Friend of Fred and stay involved, stay informed. This is a candidate worthy of the support of conservatives from a wide spectrum of what that term means. I invite you to find out more. I know you’ll like what you find.
